Most Promising Young Person in Manchester (Rising Star Award)

Someone who is excelling in their chosen career, is making a valuable contribution to their employer or the economy and is achieving above and beyond expectations.

The nominee needs to be between 18 and 26 years of age for this award.

 

NEW- Hospitality Professional of the Year

Someone who has made an outstanding contribution to Manchester’s thriving hospitality industry and exceeded expectation both in terms of targets and customer service.  They have achieved this over the last 12 months.

 

Entrepreneur of the Year

Someone who has identified and capitalised on an opportunity to develop their own or a new start up business; or has created an innovative idea to improve an existing process/service.  They have achieved through hard work, dedication and determination over the last 12 months.

 

Finance Professional of the Year

Someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the financial services industry; professionals are welcome from practice or industry in any background.  The individual will have to demonstrate how they are technically and commercially the best within the region.

 

Legal Professional of the Year

This award recognises a truly exceptional individual contribution to the profession in the last 12 months.

Someone who has demonstrated exemplary performance in their field of expertise, standing out from their peers.  This can be demonstrated through their technical legal ability, client care/focus, pro bono work, recognition of their work on major cases, projects or investigations, engaging and responding to demands faced by clients and the legal profession.

 

Talent & Recruiter of the Year

Someone who has exceeded their firm’s expectations/targets consistently through hard work and dedication, entrants are invited from across the recruitment, talent and HR sector.  This award will recognise the best young HR, Talent or Recruitment professional in Manchester.  The individual should demonstrate how they are technically and commercially the best young HR/Talent or Recruitment professional.

 

Marketing/PR Professional of the Year

An individual who has positively enhanced the image and reputation of a company through ideas and use of technology.

 

Digital, Media or Creative Professional of the Year

The individual will need to demonstrate how they are technically and commercially the best digital, media or creative professional within the region.

 

Property Professional of the Year

Someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the property industry; professionals are welcome from practice or industry in any background.

 

Team of the Year

A team who over the past year have raised an organisation’s profile, with a positive impact on their community.  The team will have made an outstanding contribution to their industry.  Teams are welcome from any background and must each be under the age of 39.

 

 

Criteria

All nominees need to meet the following criteria (unless applying for the Rising Star award)

  • Aged between 18 and 40
  • UK resident
  • Working in and around Manchester
